Contagious is a book about what makes something go viral. Why do some things catch on instead of others? Jonah Berger believes there are 6 basic principals:  Social Currency, Triggers, Triggers, Emotion, Public, Practical Value and Stories. In each chapter he explains a principle and gives the reader a set of examples to help them understand it and how to make it work. This books is an insiders guide to making anything go viral. If you follow the principals, you will succeed. We think this book is a must read for everyone, specially if you are in advertisement or want to make your message go viral. He really helps you understand the principles and why they work. In conclusion there are some “slogans” that this book illustrates about a contagion and they are the following:

  • Sharing is caring which makes it contagious

  • Faster, better, easier

  • Make products or idea standout

  • Make the idea or desired benefit a key part of the narrative
